Sketchbook \ Diário Gráfico
É igual ao Diário Gráfico que estou a usar no momento, mas num tamanho mais pequeno. O antigo é A4 e os novos são A5. São da marca Canson, com uma gramagem de 96g. Estes conjuntos trazem sempre dois diários gráficos. O papel têm um pouco de textura - que é algo que gosto bastante. Apesar de ter estado a tentar começar a desenhar no formato A4, o formato A5 continua a ser aquele em que me sinto mais confortável.

This one is a new Sketchbook, and it's just like the one I'm using at the moment, but this one is A5. Both are from Canson and with paper 96g. These sketchbooks come in packs of two, and they are very reasonable priced. The paper has a little texture - which is something I like a lot. I've been trying to use the A4 size, but A5 is still my favourite format to draw.


Copic Multiliner (0.1; 0.25; 0.35)
Devem estar a pensar, mas Mafalda quantos marcadores finos tens? ... er alguns... muitos... provavelmente demais. Mas, nalguns desenhos que fiz recentemente notei que quando usava os marcadores Copic que havia algum arrasto de cor das linhas feitas a marcador preto. Apesar de gostar muito dos marcador da Staedtler e os da Sakura, tive que procurar outras alternativas. Estes da marca Copic são substancialmente mais caros que os outros, mas têm a vantagem de ser recarregáveis e as pontas podem ser substituídas. (o que no mais fino deve acontecer muito rapidamente). Têm também a vantagem de ser marcadores que são resistentes tanto à água como aos marcadores com tinta à base de álcool. Existem em várias cores e com pontas de vários tamanhos. Eu escolhi das pontas mais finas porque são as minhas preferidas.

You might be thinking, Mafalda why on earth do you need more fine liner markers? And how many you do already have? ... well erhum, I have a few, maybe more than I need. But in recent artwork I noticed that when I use my Copic markers the lighter colours sometimes drag the black marker lines, so I had to look for alternatives. I already wanted to try these, but the price was holding me down. But they have advantages - just like the copic markers they can be rechargeable and the tips can be replaced. Another pro is that these markers are water resistant and also alchool based markers resistant. They are available in many colours and also with different tips. I choose some of the tiniest ones because those are my favourites.


Derwent Graphik Line Maker 0.3 (Graphite & Sepia)
Por outro lado gosto de experimentar material novo. Já andava de olho nestes marcadores há algum tempo. Existem com pontas de vários tamanhos, e em três cores - preto, cinzento e sépia). Ainda não estou convencida com o sépia, mas gostei bastante do cinzento, até mesmo para escrever. Ainda não testei a fundo como resistem com aguarelas e/ou marcadores com tinta à base de alcool, mas para fazer desenho linear acho que têm uma boa relação preço/qualidade.

On the other hand I like to try new material. I had these under my eyes for awhile. They are also available in many nib sizes and in three colours - black, graphite and sepia). I'm not totally sold on the sepia one, but I enjoy the graphite one a lot (even just for writing). I haven't test them properly with watercolours or copic markers, but for linear drawing I think they have a good price/quality relation.

Kuretake/Zig Artist Sketching Pen
Um marcador com tinta à base de álcool, vale a pena experimentar. A marca é japonesa e já me provou que têm excelente material. A ponta do marcador é fina e tipo pincel, o que faz com que seja possível haver variação da linha.

It's a black marker with alcohol based ink, it's worth trying. I already know the brand and trust it. The tip of the marker is similar to the brush ones, which means you can create some line variation.


Sakura Pigma Brush (Fine, Medium, Bold)
Não é segredo que gosto de marcadores com ponta pincel, apesar de ainda ter muito a aprender com eles. Estes chamaram-me a atenção pelo preço. Gostei especialmente do fino e do médio, o mais largo é mais apropriado para desenhos maiores, ou então para colorir grandes superfícies de preto. Para quem quiser experimentar este tipo de material, estes são dos mais baratos que encontrei até agora.

It's not a secret that I like brush markers a lot, although I'm still learning how to use them. These ones caught my attention because of the price. I really enjoy to draw with the fine and the medium, I think the largest one is more appropriate for really large drawings or to paint large spaces in black. If you want to try this sort of marker, these were the cheapest ones that I found until now.
